Studio ambience sample
BY ROOFTOP RECORDING
The sound of a space is the second most important piece of the sound of your recording, second only to the sounds you and your instruments produce. My garage recording space is among the largest live rooms in the area. It has a rich, ambient tone great for room mics and natural "space" in your sound.
Neon Motel Room
BY THE WHISKEY CHARMERS
The Whiskey Charmers have recorded their first two albums at Rooftop, and are about to begin their third album here. This was recorded almost entirely live (only bass was overdubbed later). Their second album won the Detroit Music Award for Outstanding Country Recording

Pure Tape Session
BY TYLER RIGDON AND THE SECOND ARRANGEMENT
From Blue Silver Astray EP Tyler Rigdon and the Second Arrangement - used by permission. This was tracked to my Tascam MS16 1" tape machine and mixed the old fashioned way right to my Otari MTR10 1/2 track 1/4". It was mixed through my Allen & Heath GL2400 with all analog gear (but for one outboard digital reverb). For purist approach to vinyl, this is the way to go.
BY DAN HALL
This project was offered to songwriters with full production service. Instrumentation, the choir and arranging was done by David Roof. Most of this album project had production elements, and there's a lot of variety. Check them all out.
